It's best to ask about this before the assignment starts, so you don't end up in an awkward situation about it later. When you experience transgressive behavior, you can sometimes address it directly with the person causing it. Transgressive behavior can arise without bad intentions, and the person may not be aware of its effect. Ideally, you address it right at the moment it happens. Sometimes that's not possible, because you're caught off guard by the other person's behavior, or because you only realize later that it crossed a line. In that case, it's also fine to bring it up afterwards. By starting the conversation, you can often prevent it from happening again.

Sometimes it's hard to speak up. For example, in cases of serious transgressive behavior. Or when you've already tried addressing someone's behavior before, with or without result. In that case, you can ask your manager or client, HR, or a confidential counselor for help.
