I need support or advice
Seek support
Running into transgressive behavior? You don't have to figure this out alone.
- The confidential advisor at your client's organization is there to guide you and think along with you about how best to handle the situation.
- Is there no confidential advisor available at your client's organization? Then you can turn to Mores's confidential advisors.
- Your own network can also be an important source of support. By telling your story to someone you trust, you can share your feelings, often gain more perspective, and make a well-considered decision about your next step more easily.
Stand stronger together
Is the transgressive behavior directed at you, a colleague, or the whole team? Look for allies to raise the behavior with, such as fellow freelancers or other witnesses. You don't have to act together if that feels risky, but knowing that others see the same thing strengthens your position and your confidence. In some cases, you may choose to raise something or make a report together.
Ask for advice
If you're a member of a trade union or other advocacy organization, you can often turn to them for advice and help if you experience transgressive behavior and its professional consequences. Check the Aansluitwijzer to see which advocacy organization suits you.
